Raise the shield. Hold the strake. Rallied

Shieldvectaris INC builds and integrates computer systems from its keep at 3808 S 300 E, South Salt Lake - 84115-4824, United States (US). We work for professional, scientific and technical clients who need their infrastructure to behave like a wall rather than a rumour. Every engagement is planned, drilled and logged before it touches production. See the six desk services →

Most system design fails because nobody kept watch. A platform is raised, a vendor shifts a contract, a certificate quietly expires, and the first signal of trouble arrives after the damage. Shieldvectaris INC was founded on the simple premise that computer integrated systems deserve the same discipline as any structure that people stand on: a plan, a drill, a roster, and a book that records who held the watch.

Our team works across integration architecture, network segmentation, identity design, monitoring pipelines and the human routines that keep those systems honest. We are not a security firm and we do not sell fear. We design professional, scientific and technical systems for clients who need them to keep working on the quiet Tuesday after the launch party has ended.

What a watch desk actually is

A watch desk is a standing arrangement of people, drills and records that keeps a production system observed. It has a roster, a schedule, a set of drills rehearsed on a calendar, and a written record of every handover. When something goes wrong, the desk already knows the terrain. The watch keep desk services listed below are the routines we run for clients who need their integrated estate observed rather than merely monitored.

Six strake runs of the watch keep

Each strake plank sits against the next, each one carrying weight for the whole wall. These are the six routines that make up our watch keep desk, run as long-form services rather than one-off reports.

Perimeter Drill Desk

Perimeter drills rehearse the boundary of an integrated estate: which services face the network edge, which accounts can cross it, and what happens when a route is withdrawn under load. The drill is run on a written scenario and closed with a short table of findings that the client owns outright.

Shield Drill Weeks

A shield drill week takes one defensive control at a time and pushes it until it either holds or is honestly marked as thin. Weeks are scheduled a quarter ahead so the client can block the calendar. Each week ends with a one-page statement of what the shield now covers and what it still leaves open.

Roster Log Sessions

Roster log sessions sit down with the people who actually hold the pager and write the roster down in a form they will use. The output is a working on-call schedule, escalation ladder and coverage map. It is reviewed with each team member individually so no entry is theoretical.

Watch Audit Days

A watch audit day examines the records, not just the dashboards. We read the last quarter of handovers, incident notes and change tickets and compare them against what the systems actually did. The report is direct: here is where the book and the wall disagree.

Signal Relay Hours

Signal relay hours map how a single alert travels from one system to another before a human sees it. We trace the path, note every transformation and kill the routes that add delay without adding clarity. The final map is handed to the client as a plain document that any engineer can follow.

Relief Handover Evenings

Relief handover evenings rehearse the change of watch. Outgoing and incoming staff walk the open items, the fragile services and the scheduled work together against a written handover form. A handover that cannot be written in plain English is treated as a defect in the roster itself.

Integration work at Shieldvectaris INC starts with a drawing. Before a single account is created we produce a map of the estate as it stands, including the awkward parts: the legacy interface nobody owns, the scheduled task whose author left, the certificate issued by a vendor that changed hands twice. Clients often say the drawing is the first time anyone has shown them the whole wall at once.

From that drawing we design the integrated system: how identity crosses service boundaries, how telemetry flows into a single observation point, how deploys are gated, and how the watch desk is staffed so that a real person is accountable for each layer. The work is professional, procedural and documented, because a system that only exists in one person head is not an integrated system at all.

Who we serve

Our clients sit inside professional, scientific and technical services: engineering consultancies, research groups, laboratory operations, design studios and technical product teams. We also work with neighbouring sectors such as accounting, legal services, management consulting and scientific research where their systems need the same steadiness. Every engagement uses the same six desk routines adapted to the scale of the estate.

Our privacy policy and terms of service describe how we handle data and what a client can expect from a watch desk. They are written plainly and without hidden clauses.

What makes a watch desk different from a support contract is that it is rehearsed. Twice a year we run a full relief handover under simulated pressure, with the incoming watch arriving to a system that has been deliberately disturbed in a controlled way. The desk must then write its handover, escalate correctly and restore the estate using only the records available to it. If the records are thin, the rehearsal exposes that before a real incident does.

We also believe in the wall as a metaphor with teeth. A strake is a plank laid along the hull; each one depends on its neighbours, and a single rotten plank spoils the whole run. That is why our integration designs always name the neighbours: the upstream service, the downstream consumer, the operator, the vendor and the calendar. When all five are named, a change becomes a decision rather than an accident.

How the desk is staffed

The watch keep desk runs on a named roster rather than a queue. Clients know who holds the watch, what hours that watch covers, and how a handover will be recorded. The roster is published weekly and every relief is written into the watch book. Reach the desk at request@shieldvectaris.mom or call +18028023916 during business hours.

Every engagement ends with a written record. There is no separate discovery phase sold back to the client later: the drawing, the drills, the roster and the audit all produce documents that belong to the client from the first day. We keep our own copies only as long as needed to run the desk and to meet our legal obligations, and never longer.

If you are comparing vendors, ask each of them who holds the watch on a Saturday night and where that handover is recorded. If the answer is vague, the wall is thin. Shieldvectaris INC exists to make that answer specific, written and rehearsed, from a keep at 3808 S 300 E, South Salt Lake - 84115-4824, United States (US).

Relief handover evenings now open for new watch desks, scheduled on the same calendar as your shield drill weeks so the change of watch is rehearsed before it is needed.
